FINDING A PENDULUM
Anything can be used as a pendulum. The
only requirement is that it needs to swing freely while being held in your
hand. However, some things may work better for you than others. The more
movement you are able to get, the better it is for you to use.
If you don't have a pendulum, you can use a
pendant or ring hung on a chain, a nut or paperclip hanging on a string, or
even a needle on a piece of thread. You can use anything that will allow
movement. Do not let anything dangle too long because the longer it is, the
harder it is to move. Three to four inches is sufficient length, or use what
feels right.
Hold the pendulum in the hand you normally
use. The pendulum should start to move immediately, even if only slightly. If
it won't move or is ‘shaky’, it means it is not compatible with your energy.
Try a variety of things until you find what works best.
If you can't get any movement, pay
attention to your thoughts. Negative thoughts close down your energy and the
pendulum can’t move. Thinking you are unable to move it, or trying to hold
your hand still will block your energy. To get movement it is necessary to
think positive thoughts about being able to move it. THINK MOVEMENT!
Remember that it is your energy that moves
the pendulum. The more emphatic you are in telling the pendulum to move, the
more movement you should be able to get. However, it does not matter how much
movement you get. Any movement will allow you to be able to use the pendulum
successfully.
LEARNING TO USE THE PENDULUM
While holding the pendulum, focus on the
first line below and tell your pendulum to follow the line forward and
backward repeatedly. Demand that your pendulum follow the line EXACTLY. Tell
it to move faster, higher, and to stop when you want it to.
Once you are able to receive the first
signal, work on receiving each signal one at a time. Take your time with each
signal until it responds quickly. Concentrate on the signal you want to
receive and don’t let your mind wander. After doing both diagonals, say
‘switch diagonals’ and keep saying it until your pendulum changes direction
again. It can take time for your pendulum to be able to change direction but
when it does, you will realize the POWER OF YOUR THOUGHTS.
Always be aware of what you are thinking
because the pendulum responds to your thoughts EACH MOMENT. Using the pendulum
teaches the connection between your your thoughts and your energy. It also
helps you to learn to focus your energy. Practice these basic movements
regularly until the pendulum responds instantly to what you want it to do. It
will make using the pendulum easier and more precise.
WHAT THE MOVEMENTS MEAN
Each of the above signals are different vibrations within
you and each can mean something different depending on the context. (Read
pages 52-57) Learning to interpret the movements of the pendulum is essential
to the successful use of the pendulum.
As you pick up the pendulum, the most
common response is a circling movement, either clockwise or counter-clockwise
as shown above on the right. It is important to remember that the kind of
movement you receive depends on the vibration you are on. A clockwise movement
shows a positive energy and a counter-clockwise movement shows a negative
energy.
The height and speed of the movement can
show you how positive or negative the energy is. The higher the movement the
more positive it is for either a clockwise or counter-clockwise movement. A
full-out swing is the highest movement. The lower the movement the more
negative it is. No movement shows the lowest negative energy and is called an
ENERGY BLOCK.
This information can show you how you feel
about anyone or anything. Say the name of who or what you want to know about
and watch the response of the pendulum. Anything less than a full out
clockwise swing shows negativity involved. DO NOT BLAME YOURSELF when you find
negativity about someone or something. That will only lower your energy and
decrease the movement of the pendulum, or even stop movement.
To raise your vibration for anyone or
anything, it is necessary to change your thoughts to be more positive. Repeat
each possibility and watch the response of the pendulum. The higher the swing
the better it is for you. You can use this process to determine the best the
best thing to do, the best thing to say, the best affirmation to use, etc.
If you can’t change your thoughts to raise
your energy about anyone or anything, releasing is needed. Being able to find
and release the negativity involved with anyone and anything is what this book
is about! (See PROBLEMS)
FINDING YOUR "YES" & "NO"
Most people begin using the pendulum by asking questions. To
do that, you will need to be able to receive a YES and a NO signal. The most
common responses for YES and NO are the first two signals above; the front to
back movement for YES and the sideways movement for NO (from a positive
vibration). However, it is important to understand these signals can REVERSE if
you become distressed; YES being the sideways movement and NO the front to back
movement (from a negative vibration). For that reason, it is necessary to ALWAYS
begin your work with the pendulum by finding your YES signal.
To find your YES, ask: “GIVE ME A YES”. Repeat the statement until you get a
definite signal. Once you receive a YES signal, your NO should be the opposite
signal. To be sure, ask: “GIVE ME A NO”. If you find yourself on a negative
vibration, don’t blame yourself for being negative. It is often because of a
powerful karmic energy holding you on that vibration. When identified and
released, you will probably move to a positive vibration and your signal for YES
and NO will change. (Read page 61)
ASKING QUESTIONS
When asking a question it is necessary to ask a very
specific question that can be answered with a YES or NO. When you receive an
answer, if you DOUBT the answer you receive and ask the same question again,
you may receive a different answer. What has happened is that doubt has caused
your energy to change to a negative vibration and therefore your signals
reversed causing you to read the signal wrong. Trust in the first answer
received.
The answer you receive to a question being asked shows
the energy you are expressing about that question. The answer is NOT ABSOLUTE
and may not even be true. It simply shows WHAT YOU BELIEVE TO BE TRUE.
The question then becomes WHERE IS THAT ANSWER COMING
FROM? It usually comes from either your LOWER SELF or your HIGHER SELF. To
find out where the answer is coming from you can ask for a YES/NO to each. A
diagonal response from the right for YES comes from your guide or even God.

If you find you are in tune with your Lower Self, which
indicates a negative vibration, it is necessary to either change your thoughts
or release to change your energy and connect to your Higher Self. Since it is
your energy that manifests, it is important that you express the energy of
your Higher Self (positive energy) rather than your Lower Self (negative
energy). Your Higher Self is the vibration of your soul, guides, and
even God. (Read pages 64-66)

so you will manifest positive things to happen in your life, and in your
