"My contribution to the field of
energy healing is the discovery with the pendulum of the exact negative thoughts that lower the
energy in each part of the body and how to release them to initiate healing in your life and in
your body."

PERSONAL
HISTORY
I was born SHEILA JOHNSTON in Detroit, Michigan
in 1934. I graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn in 1953, and from Michigan State University in
1957 as a Fine Arts/Education major. My first teaching job was at La Jolla Jr. Sr. High School in
California, where I taught Art & General Science for two years. I married in 1958 and had a child in
1960. In 1964 I was the first person to receive a Master's degree in JEWELRY DESIGN at San Diego State
College. From there, I taught at Palos Verdes High School for many years and also had a wholesale jewelry
business with my husband. My custom jewelry was shown in major shows all across the country and I was
selected as one of ten women in the country for the AMERICAN WOMEN METAL SMITHS exhibition at the Wichita Art
Museum in 1973.
In 1969 I was an Assistant Professor at West Los
Angeles College when it opened. After a divorce in 1974, I began work on another Master's degree in
Primitive Art at University of California at Santa Barbara. After spending three years studying and
teaching in Santa Barbara, I moved to the charming little community of Baywood Park where I opened my first
jewelry store, Casa de Oro. After five years learning the retail jewelry business, I grew restless and
opened a larger store in Cambria where I sold my jewelry, pendulums, and books. In January of 2000, I
retired and am now writing full time.
I started studying metaphysics and energy in 1978
and have worked with the pendulum since 1984. I began writing my first book in 1986. Although I have
taken classes and read many books, the pendulum has been my "teacher". I felt compelled to share all that
I had learned so that it might benefit others as it has me.
